Over the last couple of months, I sponsored a Ukrainian citizen and her family in the context of the #scienceforUkraine program from the European Union. Sympathetic to the cause of the Ukrainian people I issued a part time contract at the Faculty of Social Sciences, based on previously acquired speakers fees I earned over the years. I was able to pay her from the 15th of May to the 15th of August, hoping that things would settle down for her family and that she would be able to return. KU Leuven prolonged her stay with 3 extra months on a 50% payment rate. All funds are now exhausted, and her contract will end mid-November 2022. Tetyana will apply for doctoral funding in the European Union's MSCA4Ukraine call. Can you help us extent her part-time contract until the results of the Union's evaluation round are known? This will be somewhere around the 28th of January. Buy some sweets. Build her a potential scholarly future in our Faculty!
